Mylene Lock

Mylene is a certified Early Childhood Educator with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She has more than 20 years of experience working with children.

“I have fond memories of my childhood in a very small town. I loved to play games, build forts, and play dress-up, especially outdoors. I would have played all day long. From a young age, I dreamt of being a teacher and working with children someday. Being a preschool teacher is a dream come true for me."

Mylene's goal is to provide a fun, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for her students. She aims to instill in the children a love of school. Being away from their parents, even for just a couple hours, can be hard for young children. It is Mylene's mission to help the children feel safe and secure, while assuring parents that their “babies” are safe and well cared for.

"I love watching the kids' happy faces, eagerness, and enthusiasm when we open our door in the morning. There is no other job for me: I am doing what I love and I love every minute of what I do.”

Marianne Nederend

Marianne Nederend is a certified Early Childhood Educator with many years of preschool teaching experience.
Marianne brings a calm and gentle presence into the classroom. She loves to create play activities that intrigue and engage the children. Marianne takes the time to get to know each child and you will see her reaching out to the little ones through play, conversation, stories and songs.
For Marianne, the best part of being a preschool teacher is watching the children grow and change.

"I get such a thrill when I see them master a new skill like doing a zipper or holding a pencil. They feel such pride. I love guiding them and cheering them on!"

Marianne is a mother of three and Sacred Heart Parishioner. Over the years, she has shared her faith as a volunteer with Children’s Liturgy and PREP.

Yvette Krause

Mrs Krause

Yvette Krause received her certificate in Early Childhood Education in 2008. She has completed her post basic schooling in Infant and Toddler Education and has plans for further training and schooling in the field of speech and language therapy.

“Communication, specifically language development, fascinates me. I feel drawn to learning as much as I can on the different ways people communicate with each other. It warms my heart to see people reaching out to each other across language, cultural and developmental differences. I believe this is the root of my philosophy in diversity”.

“When I joined the Lil’ Saints faculty of early childhood educators I was struck with the commitment of the staff to laying out a firm foundation and molding well-grounded young individuals, with a strong sense of compassion for one another.”

Yvette has a progressive approach to teaching, she maintains that there is a way to include curriculum in a play-based learning environment.

“The trick is to always include the element of fun in learning.”

She brings with her almost 20 years of passionate work in this field of teaching.

“I feel so fortunate to be given the opportunity to build relationships with the families of Lil’ Saints, it is a blessing to be a part of your community.”

Christine Pineda

Christine is a certified Childhood Educator. She has a diploma in Early Childhood Education and Montessori (Casa 3-5 years).
After nine years of teaching preschool/kindergarten at a Montessori school, I opened a licensed daycare in my home following the birth of my first child which I operated for 11 years.

I very much enjoyed accompanying these children in their development and socializing. Their enthusiasm for life,
discovery, and learning is inspiring!
I enjoy fostering independence in all areas of their age-appropriate development but I never hesitate to provide
assistance when needed.
I am constantly learning from the children and our interactions, and I will continue to grow alongside them.
My relationships with the parents are equally as rewarding.
Here at Little Saints Preschool, I strive to apply the same philosophy by promoting their age-appropriate
independence and respecting each child's unique style of expression and learning.
Empowering children and helping them develop their self-esteem is very important to me.
